She began her career as an actress with the English National Opera, performing in acclaimed productions such as The Palace in the Sky, before transitioning into film.
Her directorial debut, the award-winning short film HUSH, was showcased at both the Cannes Film Festival and the BFM International Film Festival, marking her as a powerful new voice in independent cinema.

Lola made her feature film debut with Purple Beatz (also known as Clock), a coming-of-age romantic drama that premiered at BFI Southbank, London in 2021. The film garnered critical acclaim, winning the Rising Star Festival Award at the I Will Tell International Film Festival, where it also received nominations for Best Drama, Best Actress, Best Actor, and Best Supporting Actor. Additionally, it was nominated for Best Music Supervision at the Guild of Music Supervisors Awards. Purple Beatz was released by Trinity/101 and is currently streaming on Prime Video, TiVO, and Apple TV.
She also received her training in Film Production at Raindance Film School, and studied Film Directing at the London Film Academy. She is also an alumna of Robert McKee’s Storylogue workshops and has been mentored by British action director Pete Travis. Her development has been further supported by Film London’s Director Lab Sessions and multiple Sundance Directing Workshops.
Lola enjoys writing about the human spirit through complexity, and character driven stories that explore resilience and perseverance.
With degrees in Microbiology from King’s College London and Film Production from Raindance Film School, she brings a rare blend of scientific precision and creative storytelling to her work.
